Originally from Fresh Meadows, a residential neighborhood in Flushing, Queens, NY, from an early age I delighted in how every spring, crocus and hyacinth sprung up from the gray, frozen ground and buds suddenly appeared on the imposing skeletons of oaks and maples, turning thick and green, then orange, yellow and red before covering the musty ground in a blanket of crisp decay that we piled high and jumped into, over and over again.

Ever aware of myself and myself in my environment, here, I attempt to capture, in words, the sensations and impressions that arise, take shape, and enter into an ongoing dialogue with the internal and external spaces I move through, as inspired by my  long-term and intimate relationship with Paraguay and Paraguayans.
